The National Assembly Secretariat has published a list of 83 members on its website, officially acknowledging the inclusion of independent candidates supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Sunni Ittehad Council.
This move recognizes the membership of independent candidates in the Sunni Ittehad Council, following approval from Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq. Consequently, the Sunni Ittehad Council now stands as the second-largest political party in the National Assembly with 83 members.
Previously, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had notified the National Assembly Secretariat about the inclusion of independent members in the Sunni Ittehad Council.
