Indian Parliament attacked by unknown persons; The video went viral

Two individuals breached the stringent security measures at the Indian Parliament, causing a commotion among assembly members and prompting police intervention. Reports from Indian media detail how these two individuals entered the Lok Sabha, shouting slogans, and dispersed colored gas, leading to smoke filling the assembly.

The CCTV footage captured the intrusion, witnessed by millions through live TV coverage. Notably, Rahul Gandhi, Union Ministers, and various members were present during this incident.

These intruders accessed the Lok Sabha chamber by jumping from the guest gallery, startling the MLAs who sought shelter under their desks.

The release of yellow gas by the intruders created chaos and a yellow cloud within the assembly hall, causing some members to flee due to concerns about potential terrorism.

Police apprehended two individuals inside the Assembly Hall, while two others, including a woman, were arrested outside Parliament. Subsequently, the Speaker adjourned the meeting temporarily.

Upon resuming the session later in the afternoon, Speaker Om Birla addressed the issue, stating an ongoing investigation and directing the Delhi Police to conduct a thorough inquiry and submit a report to Parliament.

Police are currently investigating the identities and motives of the attackers. Bhujan Samaj Party MP Danish Ali mentioned that one assailant was found with a visitor’s pass issued by BJP MP Pratap Simha’s office.

Congress MP Karti Chidambaram expressed concerns regarding the potentially harmful nature of the gas released by the intruders.
