The Pakistan Cricket Board has agreed to India’s request for a change in the World Cup schedule. As per the new arrangement, the Pakistan team will now play three matches in five days, including the highly anticipated match against India. The India-Pakistan match has been rescheduled to take place on October 14 in Ahmedabad.
Furthermore, the match between Pakistan and Holland, originally planned for October 6 in Hyderabad, has been postponed by four days and will now be held on October 10. Additionally, the national team is set to play against Sri Lanka on October 12.
The PCB has responded to the Indian Cricket Board officials, granting consent for the schedule changes. Once the Indian Cricket Board finalizes the updated schedule in consultation with ICC officials, the revised fixture will reflect the crucial Pakistan-India match in Ahmedabad, one day earlier on October 14. These changes were necessitated due to logistical issues. The World Cup is scheduled to commence on October 5.
