Iran and Pakistan exercise restraint; China’s appeal on Balochistan attack.

Beijing has urged all parties involved to exercise restraint and tolerance in response to Iran’s missile strike in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

Mao Ning, the spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the importance of avoiding actions that could escalate tensions between Pakistan and Iran. Ning stressed the need for collaboration to maintain peace and stability in the region. Acknowledging the close relationship between China, Iran, and Pakistan as major Islamic countries and neighbors, Ning appealed to both nations to demonstrate restraint to prevent further escalation of tension.

The statement comes after an attack in Panjgur city of Balochistan, Iran, resulted in the tragic death of two children and injuries to three girls. Pakistan condemned the attack as unacceptable, while there was no immediate reaction from Iran. The official Noor news agency in Iran later claimed that the strike had targeted the headquarters of Jaish-e-Adl in Pakistan, a group designated as a terrorist organization by Iran.
