Naseem Shah, the national fast bowler, is set to part ways with Quetta Gladiators in the upcoming ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Reports suggest that Shah, who has been associated with Quetta Gladiators since 2019, is departing due to personal reasons.
Amidst this development, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United are reportedly interested in acquiring Naseem Shah for their teams. There are indications that one team has already initiated contact.
During the previous PSL season, Naseem Shah appeared visibly disappointed during a match between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars. This led to suggestions from fans that he might leave the franchise in the next season.
Shah faced a setback due to a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup, which led to his exclusion from the World Cup squad. He has also been omitted from the tour of Australia to facilitate his recovery.
