Ismail Haniyeh: we are near to cease-fire deal with Israel

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh announced on social media that a ceasefire agreement with Israel is nearing completion. Haniyeh stated that Hamas has communicated its stance on the ceasefire to mediators and the Qatari representatives.

Reports from international sources indicate that the proposed temporary ceasefire involves halting ground attacks and reducing air assaults within the initial 5-day period. Additionally, the agreement includes the release of around 300 Palestinians, including women and children, currently held in Israeli prisons.

However, amidst these discussions, Israeli airstrikes targeted the West Bank overnight, resulting in 17 casualties in the Nussirat refugee camp. The World Health Organization has reported a concerning 335 attacks by Israel on hospitals and medical facilities since October 7th.
