Israel has turned Palestinian land into a prison, UN

The United Nations has said that Israel has practically imprisoned more than 800,000 Palestinians in the occupied territory of Palestine.

According to Al Jazeera’s report, Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Representative for the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, said that Presenting the report in the ongoing 53rd session of the Human Rights Council, it has been said that since 1967, Israel has turned the occupied territory of Palestine into an outdoor prison, in which more than 800,000 Palestinians, including thousands of children, are actually imprisoned.

According to the Special Representative, there are 5,000 Palestinians imprisoned in prisons built on Israeli soil, of which 1,100 have no charges. 

According to Francesca Albanese, 160 of these 5,000 Palestinian prisoners are children. Francesca Albanese, while presenting a report titled “Unfortunate Detention of Palestinians” at the Humanitarian Council meeting, said that Israel has made the occupied Palestinian territory an alien territory. 

Israel’s military occupation has turned the entire occupied Palestinian territory into an open air prison where Palestinians are permanently imprisoned and under surveillance.
