It appears unlikely that Chinese President Xi Jinping will participate in the upcoming G20 summit in India. Reports from foreign news agencies suggest that China will be represented by its Prime Minister, Li Qiang, at the G20 summit in India. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden is confirmed to attend the event.
In addition to China’s potential absence, Russian President Vladimir Putin has already declared that he won’t be attending the G20 meeting and will instead send his Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, as the representative. The G20 summit is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 9 and 10. As of now, China has not released an official statement regarding President Xi Jinping’s visit to India.
