The possibility of arrest of Chairman PTI is being shown if he does not appear before the JIT investigating the case of attack, arson and vandalism on Jinnah House by 7 pm.
The JIT had issued summons to the five accused, including chairman PTI, Bushra Bibi, to appear by 7 pm for the investigation of the Jinnah House attack.
The JIT had also directed the SP Civil Lines and Model Town to ensure the attendance of the five accused including Chairman PTI.
Among the accused were Hammad Azhar, Hassan Khan Niazi and Murad Saeed. The summons stated that the accused will appear in the investigation of the case registered at Sarwar Road police station, which was registered on May 10 under the provisions of murder, attempted murder, vandalism, arson and terrorism.
Following the summons issued by the JIT, tight security arrangements were made inside and outside the investigation headquarters and a contingent of personnel was deployed.
Police sources said that if Chairman PTI does not appear within the stipulated time, there is a possibility of arrest as Anti-Terrorism Court has issued non-bailable arrest warrant against Chairman PTI in two cases.
It should be noted that earlier yesterday, the anti-terrorism court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for four accused including PTI chairman in another case.
