Justice Malik Shahzad took oath as Chief Justice of Lahore High Court.

Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court in a ceremony held at the Governor House.

Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman administered the oath to Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan, with the presence of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, judges of the Lahore High Court, provincial and federal law officers, administrative officials, and other dignitaries.

Following the swearing-in, congratulations were extended to Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan by the Governor, Chief Minister, and attendees. Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan later received a warm welcome and salute upon his arrival at the Lahore High Court, where he also inspected the guard of honor. With the retirement of Chief Justice Amir Bhatti, the Lahore High Court now has 38 judges, leaving 22 vacant positions. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan is now the senior-most judge, and Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan has joined the management committee.
