Karachi, 3 accused of supplying dead chickens arrested

In Karachi, the Korangi Police arrested 3 suspects of a gang who bought dead chickens from poultry farms in Thatta and supplied them in the city. 

While patrolling in Awami Colony, the police stopped two Suzuki pick-ups for search and they were loaded with dead chickens. 

The police arrested the three accused Hasnain, Javed and Farooq in the vehicles, while one of the accused’s accomplices, Imran alias Mana, escaped. The accused revealed that they used to collect dead chicken from different poultry farms in Thatta and supply them to various hotels, restaurants and marts in Korangi, Landhi, Gulshan Hadid. 

According to the police, a raid was conducted at the house of the accused in Korangi J area to arrest the leader of the gang, Kamran Malik, but he escaped. 

The police say that the weight of the exported chickens is more than 2,000 kg, while the accused had supplied 750 kg of dead chicken before their arrest. The accused have admitted that they daily from 20
