Khawar Manika faced a hindrance in traveling to Dubai and was subsequently arrested by anti-corruption.

In Lahore, Khawar Manika was halted by FIA immigration officials at the airport while attempting to board an Emirates Airlines flight bound for Dubai.

Sources reveal that Khawar Manika was prevented from leaving the country at the Allama Iqbal International Airport due to his name being included in the exit control list. Subsequently, he has been charged with corruption-related offenses.

In a parallel development, the Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab’s spokesperson confirmed the arrest of Khawar Manika on charges of unauthorized construction on government-owned land. An inquiry initiated by Deputy Commissioner Khawar Farid led to these allegations. The Deputy Commissioner’s reference contends that Khawar Manika constructed an unlawful marriage hall on land designated for a graveyard. Additionally, he is accused of erecting 26 illegal shops on the same graveyard land.

The case against Khawar Farid Manika alleges that the marriage hall was built without proper approval or permits on a 4-kanal section of graveyard property. It is claimed that Khawar Farid Manika had unlawfully occupied the land of Pir Islam Graveyard in Haveli Lakha for an extended period. His arrest at the airport was perceived as an attempt to flee the country, which was thwarted by anti-corruption authorities.

The spokesperson emphasized that anti-corruption efforts are actively and impartially targeting corrupt individuals throughout the province of Punjab.
