Kolkata Police has devised a comprehensive security plan to ensure the safety of the Pakistan cricket team during the upcoming World Cup matches. Pakistan is set to compete against Bangladesh on October 31 and England on November 11 (previously scheduled for November 12, but rescheduled due to the Kali Puja festival, taking into account security concerns raised by the police).
Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal, speaking to the media, emphasized their extensive experience in providing security for major cricket events. He assured that a distinct and more robust security strategy would be implemented to safeguard the Pakistan team. Additionally, there have been questions raised by a Hindu extremist organization regarding the India-Pakistan match’s security during the World Cup.
