Lahore: Sale of sacrificial animals restricted to designated markets only.

In Lahore, a ban has been imposed on the sale of sacrificial animals outside designated markets. The Punjab Interior Department has enforced Section 144, prohibiting the sale of sacrificial animals on highways and streets within the provincial capital. According to the notification, sacrificial animals can only be sold in the eight designated cattle markets. This restriction will remain in effect until June 20, aiming to maintain law and order and ensure smooth traffic flow. The Deputy Commissioner of Lahore had recommended the enforcement of Section 144 for public interest.

The designated cattle markets exempt from the ban include Shahpur Kanjran, LDA City Defense Road, Barki Road Paragon, Sigiyan Road, Sports Complex Ada Rakh, NFC Multan Road, Raiwind Sunder Road, and New King Lane Society.
