In response to the scorching temperatures in Karachi, the matriculation exams scheduled from May 21 to 27 have been postponed. The Chairman of the Secondary Education Board Karachi announced this decision, clarifying that while exams on May 28 will proceed as planned, the new dates for the postponed papers will be announced later.

The annual matriculation examinations for 2024 under the Board of Secondary Education Karachi, covering class 9th and 10th science, general, regular group, and private papers, have been affected by this postponement. The decision comes in light of alerts issued by the NDMA and PDMA, citing the risk of a heat wave sweeping across Sindh.
