Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema Islam (F), has expressed his concern over the recent Bajaur attack, labeling it as a significant intelligence failure.
In a video statement on social media, he questioned the whereabouts of Pakistan’s 26 intelligence agencies, emphasizing that the nation looks to the state institutions for protection. He raised doubts about the state’s ability to safeguard lives and property, highlighting that incidents like the Bajaur attack could erode trust between the people and his party, JUI(F).
Despite such challenges, Maulana Fazlur Rehman affirmed that his party’s determination remains steadfast and resolute. The attack on the JUI-F workers’ convention resulted in the tragic loss of 45 lives and left many others injured.
