May 9 Cases; Imran Khan was acquitted in two cases due to insufficient evidence.

PTI founder arrested in another terrorism case, release in trouble

Islamabad: The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad have acquitted PTI founder Imran Khan in both cases filed by the Shehzad Town police station related to the May 9 incident.

The court’s decision was based on insufficient evidence. Lawyers Mirza Asim Baig and Naeem Panjutha represented Imran Khan and argued for his acquittal. Mirza Asim Baig argued that the FIRs were filed by an unauthorized person and that Imran Khan was accused under section 109, but no evidence was provided to support the charges.
