
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a meeting with Russian Ambassador Albert P. Khoreev in Islamabad, during which they explored avenues to enhance collaboration, particularly in the energy sector.
Expressing condolences for the tragic incident in Moscow, the Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s keenness to bolster bilateral ties with Russia across various domains including energy, trade, and investment.
He reiterated the invitation extended to President Putin for an official visit to Pakistan. The Russian ambassador reciprocated the sentiment, affirming Russia’s desire to strengthen its relationship with Pakistan. In addition to energy, trade, and investment, both sides expressed interest in fostering cooperation in education and culture. Furthermore, they highlighted their active involvement in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
