In Lahore, an application has been submitted by the Lahore Bar to participate as a party in the intra-court appeals challenging the trial of civilians in military courts.
As reported by Express News, attorney Hamid Khan, representing the Lahore Bar, has filed the application, asserting that the ongoing hearings in intra-court appeals involve matters of public interest and fundamental rights.
According to Khan, lawyers’ organizations are typically granted representation rights in cases concerning fundamental rights and public interest before the Supreme Court. The application urges the Supreme Court to grant party status to the Lahore Bar in the case.
