Mumbai: In India, a person who uploaded a picture of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir on social media was arrested.
According to Indian media, a person was arrested in the city of Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra for posting Aurangzeb Alamgir’s picture as a profile picture on social media.
The extremist organization Bajrang Dal had threatened 20-year-old Muhammad Ali with dire consequences for posting a picture of Emperor Aurangzeb on social media.
Muhammad Ali was arrested from Navi Mumbai area and a case was registered. Police officials say further investigation is underway. Many roads named after Muslims have also been renamed under the extremist Modi government.
