Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi has emphasized the prioritization of investing in cricket development, stating his willingness to exhaust treasury funds for the betterment of the sport.

Speaking at the Gaddafi Stadium, he underscored the importance of directing capital towards cricket enhancement, ensuring adequate compensation for journalists and star cricketers associated with the PCB.

Naqvi highlighted that funds should be allocated towards improving cricket infrastructure, coaching, and player salaries, affirming that the expenditure on cricket advancement is paramount.

He also announced the formation of a 7-member selection committee, which includes individuals like Wahab Riaz and Muhammad Yusuf. When questioned about salaries, he drew a parallel between journalists and cricketers, advocating for fair compensation for all those involved in the cricketing ecosystem.
