KARACHI Accommodations between the board and the cricketers on the central contract have been delayed due to the Asia Cup.
Pakistani cricketers and PCB had been agitating the central contract for numerous days, that is why the advertisement couldn’t be made indeed after numerous months, the board has doubled the remuneration, but the players want further freedom in marketable matters, they said. Also demanding a share of ICC profit, the PCB wanted the central contract to be blazoned before the Asia Cup, but the matter has been continuously delayed.
Sources said that new contracts couldn’t be inked indeed before the match against Nepal, the players and the board authorities have laid over the matter for now, the players want to concentrate completely on the match against India and other competitions.

When communicated in this regard, a PCB functionary said that there’s no impasse in the central contract, the decision has been made to give the players the loftiest remuneration in the history of Pakistan, with which they’re veritably happy, some minor issues. It’ll be blazoned as soon as it’s resolved, for now it’ll be good if justice remains the focus of everyone’s attention.
To a question, he said that until the new contracts are blazoned, the players will continue to be paid as per the former contract, if any pretenses are incurred, they will be paid latterly.
