Newly elected Prime Minister; If we decide together, we can overcome the challenges.

The Prime Minister will go to Saudi Arabia today, will meet the Crown Prince

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that his administration is committed to avoiding vindictive politics. Addressing the National Assembly, he highlighted his party’s longstanding commitment to patience and national interest, even in the face of adversity such as the repeated ousting of Nawaz Sharif’s government. Sharif underscored the tragic loss of leaders like Benazir Bhutto and emphasized that past leaders, including Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari, prioritized Pakistan’s interests.

Critically, Sharif condemned the alleged targeting of the opposition by the PTI government, citing instances of imprisonment, disrespectful language towards women and children, and verbal attacks on Pakistan’s armed forces. He urged unity in addressing challenges, highlighting issues such as institutional losses, electricity theft, and the financial burden on citizens, particularly the poor.

Sharif outlined plans to address these challenges, including combating electricity theft, addressing PIA’s debt, tackling tax evasion, and investing in sectors like artificial intelligence to boost employment and economic growth. Additionally, he proposed initiatives such as providing solar tube wells to small farmers and offering specialized training in fields like artificial intelligence to hundreds of thousands of youth. Throughout his address, disruptions from members of the Sunni Ittehad Council were noted.
