Shahbaz Sharif, the 24th Prime Minister of the nation, officially assumed office today with the oath-taking ceremony held at the President’s House in Islamabad.
President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath to him in a solemn ceremony attended by various dignitaries including the caretaker prime minister, senate chairman, national assembly speaker, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, four governors, four chief ministers, and prominent military and civilian officials.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the swearing-in of Shahbaz Sharif by the President. In his oath, Sharif pledged his commitment to serving the country impartially and without bias. After taking the oath, Sharif was congratulated by those in attendance, marking the beginning of his tenure as Prime Minister.
