Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the agricultural revolution is the vision of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, which will create 50 billion dollars of investment and four million jobs in the next five years.
Addressing the seminar, the Prime Minister said that the second big green revolution is being brought in Pakistan after 1960, many such visions have come and gone in seventy-five years, the secret of development lies only in continuous action and hard work.
He said that the farmers who extract gold from the earth are sitting here. Agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy. Farmers provide food grains to millions of people of Pakistan. It is the right of farmers to provide a favorable environment for agriculture.
Shehbaz Sharif said that if the farmer gets a reasonable price, he will work hard again, then the production of wheat and cotton will be good. There has been a record production of wheat in Pakistan. For the revolution, healthy beech, good fertilizer in time, supply of medicine is the duty of the government and modern technology is the need of the hour.
The Prime Minister said that the farmers have to face losses due to the fake medicines of the crops, if the civil courts do not decide on the fake medicines, then the Army Act should be implemented to eliminate it, so that the labor of the farmers is not wasted. , in the past when he was the Chief Minister, he had eliminated fake medicines, all these factors can make Pakistan the best country in the world.
He said that the army chief talked about the Green Pakistan Initiative vision and suggested that Shahbaz Sharif sir, we have to take this matter forward and implement the big vision together, for which I am grateful to General Syed Asim Munir.
He said that for the success of this program, the federal, provincial governments and all institutions including research centers have to play their role, we will provide everything for the maintenance and development of the research center.
The prime minister questioned that ‘what is the reason that all the research centers became sluggish after 1960, political recruitments were done except on merit, which caused damage to the country including agriculture? Nepotism became the coin of the day’.
He said that there is no shortage in our country, today we have to come together and advance the vision of agriculture revolution, not you and me, but we will advance the vision, then Pakistan will become a great country in the world, in Pakistan.
God willing, the agricultural revolution is going to take place. The Prime Minister said that four and a half billion dollars worth of edible oil was imported into the country, we have to take advantage of the agricultural revolution to remedy it.
