Rawalpindi hosts 21 returning officers overseeing these seats, aided by 43 assistant returning officers. The process saw 39 candidates obtaining their nomination papers on the opening day, requiring a nominal fee of 100 rupees alongside a mandatory identity card submission.
Security measures around Returning Officers’ offices have been heightened, with strict prohibitions on rallies, slogans, and arms display within a 100-meter radius of these locations.
Simultaneously, the Election Commission has issued detailed directives regarding the nomination papers’ procedures.
