Nomination papers for the presidency have been filed by Asif Ali Zardari and Mahmood Khan Achakzai in Islamabad. Farooq H. Naik and Saleem Mandviwala presented Zardari’s nomination papers before the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court.
The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court will serve as the presiding officer for the presidential election in both the Senate and the National Assembly. On behalf of the Sunni Ittehad Council, Latif Khosa, Umar Ayub Khan, and other leaders submitted Mehmood Khan Achakzai’s nomination papers for the presidency.
