Islamabad: The Election Commission has taken notice of the non-submission of election campaign expenditure details from the general elections.
Notices had been issued by the Election Commission to 40 political parties, requesting the submission of their campaign expenditure details. Their leaders have been summoned today.
Among the summoned parties and leaders are BNP President Akhtar Mengal, PTI Ideological leader Akhtar Iqbal Dar, and Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party President and former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry. ANP President Asfandyar Wali, Jamshed Dasti of the Awami Raj Party, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain of QL, and Raja Abbas Nasir of MWM have also been called to appear before the Commission.
