San Francisco: After its unprecedented changes, WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in its beta version which is called WhatApp Username.
Experts are commenting on it in their own way. This option 2.23.11. Seen in 15 versions.
Username feature can be used from profile by going to app settings. This brings out two things that WhatApp may no longer require a phone number.
Secondly, you can hide your identity by hiding your phone number under the username.
This option can be availed by celebrities who don’t want to reveal their number. But in this case WhatsApp will have to add blocking and other options to prevent unwanted calls.
Although it is in the early stages and hence it would not be right to say anything. Maybe its purpose is to hide phone number, maybe private contacts or something else but it can definitely be a great feature. We will definitely keep our readers informed as more details emerge.
