Imran Khan's cell in jail declared as New Town police station, police deployed

An objection has been raised against the nomination papers of PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, in Lahore for the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the People’s Party, previously filed an objection against Khan’s nomination. Mian Naseer, a candidate from the Pakistan Muslim League-N, personally filed the objection, citing Imran Khan’s conviction as grounds for his ineligibility to contest in the elections.

Additionally, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari faced an objection on his nomination papers in Lahore, with citizen Muhammad Ayaz highlighting Bilawal’s mention of affiliation with Pakistan People’s Party parliamentarians in his papers. Ayaz emphasized the distinction between the People’s Party and its chairman, stating that both are separate entities with different election symbols.
