A resolution condemning the events of May 9 was submitted to the Senate by PTI senators. The PTI senators condemned the events of May 9 and submitted a resolution condemning it in the Senate.
These senators include Faisal Salim, Sami Ezidi, Falaknaz Chitrali, Zarqa Suhrawardy and others. After submitting the resolution, the senators also held a press conference at the Parliament House.
On this occasion, Senator Faisal Salim said that we strongly condemn the events of May 9, we have submitted a resolution in the upper house, defense installations were targeted, we are ashamed of it.
Sami Ezidi said that my family belongs to the army, we can’t imagine anyone attacking army installations, those who are involved in this incident should really be punished. Senator Falknaz said that May 9 is the most inauspicious day of my life.
Rejecting attempts to convey, my brother and nephew are serving in the army. Dr. Zarqa Suhrawardy said that we strongly condemn what happened on May 9, we are Pakistanis first and then there are other things.
He also said that Rana Sanaullah held a press conference on that day, condemning what happened to the women in the jail, we have prepared a resolution on it. He added that those involved in the May 9 incident should be punished, innocent people should be freed and tried in civil courts. The resolution states that strongly condemning the attacks on military and historical buildings, this House strongly condemns the violent attacks on GHQ, Jinnah House on May 9, where the Corps Commander resides in Jinnah Haas, Lahore.
The valuable belongings of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah were also set on fire while the martyrs Memorials were also burnt. The resolution further said that historical buildings, mosques and schools were set on fire and damaged. They express solidarity with the people.
