Once again, Shehryar Afridi was arrested right after being released from custody.

Shehryar Afridi

In a recent incident in Rawalpindi, Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shehryar Afridi was initially released by an anti-terrorism court. The court had heard the case registered against him at the New Town police station, and upon being produced before the court, he was discharged from the case.

However, shortly after leaving the court, Shehryar Afridi was re-arrested by the police. He was then transferred to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. This second arrest came right after the Lahore High Court had ordered his release in a different case. Despite the court’s order for release, he was taken into custody again upon leaving Adiala Jail.

Following the second arrest, the Deputy Commissioner issued a notification for his 15-day detention.
