The Islamabad High Court has directed the removal of Dr. Shireen Mazari’s name from the passport control list.
This decision comes after the court labeled the inclusion of her name in the list for overseas travel as unjust and unlawful. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri issued this verdict after previously reserving it following arguments from both sides on November 21. The court ordered the Director-General of Immigration and Passport to eliminate the names from the list and provide a report to the Deputy Registrar within a week. It’s worth noting that Shireen Mazari’s name was added to the PCL list based on a recommendation from the Islamabad Police.
