In its annual report, the Asian Development Bank disclosed that Pakistan received a total of $2.035 billion in funding during 2023. Of this amount, $1.081 billion was provided in the form of loans and grants, while $524.1 million was allocated for cooperative financing.
Throughout the year, the Asian Development Bank launched three projects in Pakistan and extended support for trade promotion initiatives. The report highlights Pakistan’s efforts in expanding tax coverage, digitizing tax systems, enhancing debt management, and addressing climate change, anticipating favorable outcomes from these endeavors.
