Salalah: India won the title after defeating Pakistan in the final of Junior Hockey Asia Cup.
In the final of the Junior Hockey Asia Cup played in Salalah, Oman, the Indian team took the lead against Pakistan in the first quarter and doubled their lead in the next quarter.
India maintained a two-goal lead at half-time, Pakistan’s Basharat Ali scoring in the third quarter to make the score 1-2.
In the last quarter of the match, Pakistan made several attempts to equalize the goal but none of the strategies could be effective, Pakistan won the silver medal in this event and got the honor of entering the Junior World Cup.
