Sher Afzal Marwat, the senior vice president and PTI leader from NA 32 Peshawar, had his nomination papers accepted after the Appellate Tribunal at Peshawar High Court allowed his appeal against their initial rejection by the Returning Officer.
Speaking to the media post the approval, Marwat expressed that unlike the situation in Punjab where lawyers secured tickets, a similar scenario didn’t unfold in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He planned to meet the PTI founder to discuss the ticket issue in KP.
Regarding a recent audio leak, Marwat clarified that while he disagreed with Atif Khan, he didn’t find it appropriate for the audio to be shared in the group. Although he stated he wouldn’t apologize, he did reach out and offer an apology to Atif Khan.
Highlighting his grievances, Marwat emphasized a conflict with the central PTI organization rather than the provincial one, attributing it possibly to differences in communication style and reception. He also expressed his dislike for Arbab Sher Ali, citing continual opposition from Ali’s end.
