PCB contacts 4 major teams for World Cup preparations

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has contacted the boards of 4 major teams for the World Cup scheduled in India.

According to media reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board has started contacts with Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh and South Africa while inviting them to visit Pakistan in August and participate in bilateral or tri-nation series.

In an email sent by the PCB to the said boards, it is said that the series will provide an opportunity for the visiting teams to acclimatize to the conditions in the subcontinent before the mega event.

Speaking to the media in Lahore on Saturday, the national team head coach Grant Bradburn said that Pakistan is trying to get additional matches to ensure the preparations of the team for the important event.

He revealed that PCB is contacting many boards before the 50-over mega event so that the matches can be arranged. On the other hand, Pakistan’s hybrid model was also recognized for the Asia Cup
