
In the matter of insulting the Quran and committing blasphemy, the court has handed down severe punishments to the offenders.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ahsan Mahmood Malik has issued a significant ruling in a case involving blasphemy and the desecration of the Quran. Four individuals, namely Wazir Gul, Muhammad Amin, Faizan, and Muhammad Rizwan, have been found guilty of showing disrespect towards the Holy Prophet, as well as insulting and defiling the Holy Quran. These individuals also shared their offensive actions on social media.
In its judgment, the court has ordered that the offenders be executed by hanging until death. Additionally, the court has sentenced Usman Liaquat, the fifth accused, to serve a 7-year term of rigorous imprisonment, and he will be transferred to a correctional facility.
It’s important to note that the FIA Cyber Crime Wing initiated a case on September 12, 2022, and the court has emphasized that no leniency should be granted in cases involving grave offenses like blasphemy and the desecration of the Holy Quran.
