After the show Pennyworth, a prequel to Batman, finished its third season, HBO made a move to cancel it.

After the new leadership took over, a number of DC shows, including Titans and Doom Patrol, were also axed, which coincided with the move.
Before HBO Max took over to pay for the third season, the show aired on Epix for two seasons.
