In relation to the events that took place in November, law enforcement was granted authorization to question Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid, who are leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf, while they were in custody.
The incidents occurring on May 9 were addressed in Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court. The court sanctioned the Gulberg police station to conduct inquiries with Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Mehmood-ul-Rashid while they were imprisoned. Additionally, Ejaz Chaudhry was permitted to be interrogated regarding the arson attack on Rahat Bakery.
The police argued in court that the individuals accused were already in detention for various cases and required investigation for additional instances. The requests made by the police were approved by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Ijaz Ahmed Butar.
