The High Court has remarked during the hearing of a case that no one cares about the police and Rangers uniforms being picked up from the borders of Islamabad.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court heard the petition filed for the recovery of former adviser on Interior and Accountability Shahzad Akbar’s brother Murad Akbar, in which DIG Operations Shahzad Bukhari, Additional Attorney General, Assistant Attorney General, Advocate General Islamabad Jahangir Jadoon and missing Murad Akbar’s lawyer Qasim Wadud, SP Noshirwan and DSP Legal appeared in the court.
During the hearing, the Advocate General presented the details of the case to the court. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked that he will issue a show cause notice against DG Rangers at the next hearing. They are responsible if their uniform is being used. Within Islamabad, so many people together raised a servant. People in police ranger and CTD uniforms came and took away the man. Were they fake people, why didn’t you register the slip. Police and Rangers uniforms are being stolen. The Assistant Attorney General told the court that there were no directions to the Rangers earlier. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani Answered, I will order now, everyone will understand. Otherwise neither the IG nor anyone else has the right to stay in Islamabad. DG Ranger should have known if his uniform was used. People are picking up people in police and ranger uniforms and nobody cares. The court directed the representative of the Ministry of Defense to ask the DG Rangers to appear in the next hearing.
The court summoned the Home Secretary, DG Rangers in his personal capacity on Monday and directed him to bring his own FIR. The court said that you have to protect the uniform of your own institution. This will have an effect. DG Rangers, IG will look into the matter and file a case.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that I will ask him again why you can’t manage your uniform in Islamabad. The purpose of the order is to provide protection to those in uniform in future. If you can’t work like this, you guys should go home. If implementation If not, I will call the Prime Minister.
The court also summoned IG Islamabad in personal capacity on Monday. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked that if the servant does not come, he will call the interior minister on the next date.
If still the servant does not come, he will call the prime minister. If there is peace in the 36 km area, then you people should go back to your homes.
