Rawalpindi: Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been apprehended once again immediately upon his release from Adiala Jail. As reported by News, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s legal troubles have escalated further as he was rearrested outside Adiala Jail, this time by the Punjab anti-corruption team.
His attorney, Sardar Abdul Razzaq, disclosed that Pervaiz Elahi was in the process of being transported from Adiala Jail to the Judicial Complex in Lahore for transit remand when he was apprehended. Remarkably, this marks his 12th arrest.
Following his arrest, Parvez Elahi was presented before the local court in Islamabad, where the anti-corruption authorities requested and were granted a one-day transit remand. The court ordered that he be presented before the relevant court by the following day.
There are indications that he will be moved to Lahore on transit remand, prompting the anti-corruption team to escort Parvez Elahi from the judicial complex as they departed for Lahore.
