Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was also arrested in another case immediately after getting the release order in one case.
A case was heard against Parvez Elahi for alleged corruption and misuse of powers in development projects in Kachhari district of Lahore.
The anti-corruption police produced Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in court and requested his 14-day physical remand. The public prosecutor took the position that Chaudhry Pervez Elahi should be investigated.
He misused the powers and damaged the treasury. Judicial Magistrate Ghulam Murtaza rejected Parvez Elahi’s request for physical remand and discharged him from the corruption case due to insufficient evidence.
The court directed that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi should be released immediately if he is not wanted in any case.
Anti-corruption remanded Parvez Elahi and re-arrested him in another case. Now hand them over to Anti-Corruption Gujranwala will be done and transferred there.
It should be remembered that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was arrested yesterday in an alleged corruption case. On the other hand, Ghalib Market Police is ready to arrest Parvez Elahi.
A case has been registered against Parvez Elahi under the provisions of terrorism in Ghalib Market police station. The Special Anti-Terrorism Court had rejected Parvez Elahi’s interim bail.
