In Peshawar, students who successfully passed the MD CAT test held a protest in front of the Peshawar Press Club. They were calling for action against those students who engaged in cheating during the exam rather than requiring everyone to retake the test.
Media reported that a significant number of students took part in the protest and voiced their opposition to the decision of holding the MD CAT test twice, as well as condemning the cheating syndicate.
The demonstrators argued that by organizing a retest for MD CAT, the futures of around 46,000 students were being jeopardized without justification. They questioned the reasons behind this move and suggested that a judicial inquiry should be initiated to investigate the incident and hold those responsible accountable.
The protesters demanded the prompt release of the test results, emphasizing that they had taken the exam honestly and transparently. They insisted that the test should not be canceled, and instead, authorities should focus on investigating and taking action against those individuals directly involved in cheating. These students had dedicated countless hours to their studies and had rightfully passed the test, and it would be unfair to nullify their results.
The students made it clear that if the tests were canceled, they were prepared to file a legal writ in court to challenge the decision.
