In Islamabad, petrol prices are anticipated to drop by 5.5 rupees per liter for the upcoming 15 days starting from June 1.
Sources indicate that the price of diesel per liter is expected to decrease by 4 rupees and 30 paise, while light diesel is projected to see a reduction of 5 rupees and 8 paise per liter.
Kerosene prices are also likely to decrease by 2 rupees and 15 paise for the next 15 days.
The decrease in global crude oil prices is the primary reason for this anticipated reduction, with the benefits being passed on to consumers.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will submit its recommendations to the government on May 31, reflecting the changes in the global market. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will make the final decision regarding the new prices. The Ministry of Finance will issue the official price notification.
