Qaisra Elahi, the wife of Parvaiz Elahi, has lodged an application with the Election Commission regarding the by-election in Gujarat.
The application alleges that obstacles are hindering the submission of nomination papers at the ROPP 32 office. It urges the Election Commission to direct the Returning Officer (RO) and District Police Officer (DPO) of Gujarat to address these hindrances.
The petition highlights an incident where unidentified individuals threatened to obstruct the submission of documents at the RO office. Allegedly, the RO office is under siege and roads leading to it have been blocked.
Qaisra Elahi and her sister Samira Elahi attempted to file their nomination papers at the Election Commission office but were unable to do so due to the RO’s absence.
