Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Gwadar, a coastal city in Balochistan, for a visit where he received a briefing from Chairman NDMA Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik regarding the impact of recent stormy rains in Gwadar and South Balochistan, along with ongoing relief efforts.
He also received detailed briefings on damages in other parts of the country. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for a modern technology-based system for early detection of natural disasters and restoration of communication infrastructure. He instructed for prompt assessment of damages to private properties and the submission of early reports on recent torrential rains.
Furthermore, he called for the preparation and presentation of a comprehensive plan for the assistance and rehabilitation of affected individuals, stressing the importance of leaving no effort spared in rescue and assistance operations.
