Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan has issued a statement marking International Al-Quds Day and Friday Farewell.
In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condemnation of the Zionist occupation and oppression, standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people. He highlighted the longstanding illegal occupation of Palestine and Jerusalem by Israel, stressing the continuous violation of international laws and human rights to maintain its control.
The Prime Minister underscored the intensified oppression faced by Palestinians in recent times, emphasizing the significant casualties and injuries inflicted upon innocent civilians, including children, in Gaza. He called upon the international community to pressure Israel to cease its oppressive actions against Palestinians.
Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to providing moral and diplomatic support to the Palestinian cause until their liberation from Zionist occupation, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders.
On the occasion of Friday Farewell, the Prime Minister urged Muslims in Pakistan and worldwide to remember their Palestinian and Kashmiri brethren in their prayers, beseeching the Almighty to alleviate their hardships.
Finally, he appealed to the nation to pray for the peace, security, development, and prosperity of Pakistan, invoking blessings for economic stability and perseverance in overcoming challenges.
