Earlier, both leaders engaged in a high-level panel discourse at the World Economic Forum titled “Redefining the Global Health Agenda.”
Expressing gratitude for Bill Gates’ congratulatory message on his re-election, the Prime Minister reaffirmed his dedication to sustaining a robust partnership between Pakistan and the Gates Foundation, echoing their previous collaborations.
Highlighting Pakistan’s relentless efforts towards polio eradication, the Prime Minister acknowledged the enduring support of BMGF in this endeavor, emphasizing the necessity for continued collaboration to achieve a polio-free Pakistan.
Bill Gates commended the immunization program and polio eradication efforts in Punjab under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, proposing their expansion nationwide to further impact.
Recognizing the significance of polio eradication in safeguarding future generations, Gates lauded Pakistan’s efforts in this regard.
The Prime Minister underscored the Gates Foundation’s role as a dependable partner in Pakistan’s socio-economic progress, particularly in IT, STEM education, and disaster management, extending an invitation for Bill Gates to revisit Pakistan at his convenience, recalling his previous visit in February 2022.
