Ottawa: Pro-Khalistan Sikh leader Hardeep Singh was shot dead in Canada. According to a foreign news agency, Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nejjar, a supporter of independent Sikh homeland, was shot dead in a gurdwara in British Columbia, Canada.
Hardeep Singh was an activist of the Sikh separatist organization Sikh Four Justice and played a central role in the referendum for the establishment of Khalistan. The Indian government had also demanded the Canadian authorities to take action against Hardeep Singh.
